On April 14, 2025, the second large-scale demonstration of the POP-ART project took place at the Air Metropolitano stadium in Madrid, during the La Liga soccer match between Atlético de Madrid and Real Valladolid.
During this event, the technologies developed and integrated in the POP-ART project were tested in the framework of a high-density public event that gathered almost 56,000 spectators. The demonstration focused on supporting the Spanish National Police in their operational deployment, enhancing real-time situational awareness and improving decision-making processes during a complex security operation.
Technological innovations such as advanced video analytics, real-time data integration and surveillance tools were deployed and coordinated through the POP-ART platform, validating their performance in a dynamic, live environment. This event marked an important milestone in the validation phase of the project and highlighted the readiness of POP-ART tools for future large-scale applications in public space protection and law enforcement operations.
